Background
I grew up in Poway, California; near San Diego. I started my career as an educator at the age of 16, when I taught swim lessons. I soon realized that the standard programs didn't work for all students. I began modifying how I taught swimming to great success.
I went on to get a BA in Biology from Azusa Pacific University with the intention of becoming a teacher. I earned my CA Teaching Credential from California State University San Marcos then taught middle school science.
I discovered that many students in the classroom were having the same problem as my swim students. The method of teaching did not fit their learning style. I chose to start my own tutoring business so I could meet each student where they were and help them reach their educational goals.
My Assistants
Meet Charlie:
He is our motivational officer. In person students will be gleefully greeted. Throughout sessions he will come check all is well and give licks of approval. He will sometimes come sit on my lap to see what is going on inside the computer.
Meet Tony:
He is the location inspector. He makes sure everything is set for optimal tutoring! He is open to ear scratches and long strokes from in person students. Online students may be greeted by a tail wave!
